There is something here for every ability of walker from gentle walks through the countryside to strenuous days to satisfy the serious hikers and hill walkers.
We offer a range of walks from easy, for the beginner, to challenging and strenuous for the more experienced.
Many walks are from our doorstep, however, if walking further afield, a drop off and collection service can be provided.
Explore at your own pace
If you prefer to explore at your own pace our independent walking holidays give you the flexibility to set off when you're ready, stop when and where you like, and visit the places that most interest you. We provide comprehensive route notes and guidance for the best routes that meet your needs.
Travel to and from sites can be arranged.
There are a variety of walks, for all abilities in the area. Maps and routes are available for use and some walks may be accompanied by Barrie, an experienced walker for 30 years, for a nominal fee. Transport to and from start and finish points can also be arranged.
Walking can be done at any time of the year, however the recommended months are from September to May. Warm layered clothing and waterproofs are advisable during winter months. In the summer a long sleeved shirt, hat and barrier cream are recommended.
Comfortable ankle boots with good cleated soles will suffice. Trekking poles are also advised.
